Question: “Will a frame that’s repaired or soldered be weaker than a new frame and will it re-break within a short period of time?”

Answer: No, quite the opposite. When frames are manufactured, there is a tendency to apply quick spot welds mechanically that unfortunately are often weak. That is why so many hinges separate right at the solder point. When we solder a frame, we infuse much more silver ensuring a strong, long lasting bond and we offer a 100% money back guarantee or we will re-fix the repair.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question: “When a frame is soldered , will it be damaged or discoloured to the point that it would be obvious and unsightly?”

Answer: No, it is true that there may be is some degree of discoloration with some of the solders, but what sets us apart is our ability to refinish by re-plating the repaired area to as close to the original finish as possible. We will take time to match up the colours within our paint shop.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question: “If I take my frames to one of the large optical chains, won’t they be able to do any repairs that I need?”

Answer: No, most Optical stores generally offer no repair services at all and those that do generally send the work to us in any event – we currently do repair work for hundreds of opticians nationwide.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question: “Isn’t it expensive to repair broken Raybans?”

Answer: No, not at all. All repairs are a fixed price £19.99 excluding any parts. That is very inexpensive compared to buying new frames and lenses which could cost over £150 from a discount optician

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question: “Is there anything that you can’t repair?”

Answer: Not much . Most metal frames can be repaired, plastic frames can be repaired if its not a direct break in the plastic on the frame- but we can replace most sides and hinges. The only material we are unable to repair at present is titanium. This material requires specialist welding equipment to repair.

Question:“I have a pair of Ray Ban 4029 which need a new set of arms and was wondering if you could repair them?”

Answer: There are hundreds of different size screws, for thousands of frames, and we keep most of them, send them in to us and we will charge just £9.95 for a replacement screw and servicing of your glasses or sunglasses.
